For pattern I decided to take a picture of stairs at CSUSM in the science hall building. This image was taken at night as you can see on the left the window is dark. I focused more on the frame and that is why the stairs look blurry. Even though the stairs are blurred, my intentions were to focus more on the pattern than the texture of the stairs. I did a low angle shot on purpose because I wanted my audience to first look down and then look up.
For texture I wanted to focus on the wood and some parts of the hand pruner. This image was taken in my back yard on a cloudy day. Looking back at this I feel like I should’ve focused on only one subject. It is hard to tell which part of the image is more focused, but also for some reason most of the images that I upload loses its quality. I wanted to make this image look very old and vintage. At first I wanted to make this image black and white, but the color of the hand pruner stands out a lot in this image.
I really would’ve liked this image if it was that blurry. The only why I still uploaded it is because it had a good use of line. Originally this image was taken with a very bright exposure. I had to lower the exposure and highlights to not make it seem too bright. I also purposely made this image green because I wanted to create like something you would see in a horror film. This image was also taken at CSUSM in the science building. I went to take this picture at a very late time which was a perfect time because no one was there.
I’m still trying to get used to taking clear images at night. I never use a tripod when I go out and take pictures and I should start doing so because my images come out blurry. I took this picture down the street where I live. I wanted to create a photo for light with this image. I edit the picture to make color of the lights stand out more. I also added some vignette in order for my audience to focus more in the center. As you can see from this image, I took this at night making the lights appear brighter than in the day time. In my opinion, light creates a beautiful scenery.
The family reflection was so touching. Every family has their challenges and we have all be able to overcome. Its great to see you reflect on this valuable time.
